EVANGELIST DR. DON WHITT

 

Dr. Don Whitt was born in Jefferson City, TN on July 27, 1950. His late wife, Judy, lost her battle with cancer in 2015, after 44 years of marriage. He met his new wife, Rosita, in 2018 and was married one year later. Rosita also lost her husband of 44 years to a long term illness. Together they have seven sons and twenty two grandchildren.

Dr. Whitt received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX and a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA.

Dr. Whitt has pastored churches for over 30 years ranging in size from 20 members to over 3,000 members. During that time his messages have been broadcast throughout the southeastern United States. Dr. Whitt served as the State Evangelism Director for the state convention of Baptists in Ohio. He has preached over 1,400 local church revivals, several area wide crusades, state pastor’s conferences, state evangelism conferences and college and seminary chapel services. In addition, he has led out in several mission trips to foreign countries, seeing many people come to Jesus Christ as Savior.

Dr. Whitt is an avid quail hunter and has served as a professional hunting guide in some of the South’s finest preserves.

Dr. Whitt has a heart for evangelism and the local church.  God has particularly gifted him with the ability to call people to Christ and salvation.
