EVANGELIST DR. DON WHITT

 

Dr. Don Whitt was born in Jefferson City, TN on July 27, 1950. He was married to his late wife, Judy, for 44 years before she lost her battle with cancer in 2015.  He remarried in 2019 to Rosita who was also married 44 years and lost her husband to a long term illness.  Together they have seven sons, twenty two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Dr. Whitt received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX and a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA.

Dr. Whitt has pastored churches for over 30 years ranging in size from 20 members to over 3,000 members. During that time his messages have been broadcast throughout the southeastern United States. Dr. Whitt served as the State Evangelism Director for the state convention of Baptists in Ohio. He has preached over 2,000 local church revivals, several area wide crusades, state pastor’s conferences, state evangelism conferences and college and seminary chapel services. In addition, he has led out in several mission trips to foreign countries, seeing many people come to Jesus Christ as Savior.

Dr. Whitt is an avid quail hunter and has served as a professional hunting guide in some of the South’s finest preserves.   He has a heart for evangelism and the local church.  God has particularly gifted him with the ability to call people to Christ and salvation.
